RAY BRAZEN -- THE AMAZIN' BRAZEN -- ABOUT RAY!

ABOUT RAY BRAZEN

Veteran home recording artist Ray Brazen first came to the attention of Orlando, Florida's underground music scene in 2005 when he started showing up at gigs featuring the bands which made up the then-thriving Funbalaya scene. But it wasn't until he returned to his native northern New Jersey and collaborated with lo-fi legend R. Stevie Moore that the City Beautiful fully realized just how hip Ray's credentials truly were. Surprised and startled by the interest generated from within the Sunshine State as a result of this collaboration of two great musicians, Ray finally settled in central Florida in 2007.

Over the course of the next two and a half years, Ray built his reputation in O-Town partially through steady and unwavering support of all things underground and eccentric, and partially through a series of outlandish and inventive attention-grabbing musical stunts, each one more provocative than the ones preceding it. This streak began in the spring of 2008 with the release of "Wendy Chioji Please Don't Goji," a song lamenting the departure of a local news anchor which landed Brazen's name in both the Orlando Sentinel and Orlando Weekly and earned him an appearance on the Dave Plotkin Show on WPRK radio in Winter Park, FL. He followed this hit with "New Music Women," promoting its bold lyrical suggestion by being seen around the city wearing a homemade t-shirt bearing the song's opening line. This song brought Brazen to the attention of the Soundvine Collective and this resulted in the addition of many new fans to his ever-growing local fanbase. Always one to outdo himself, Ray's next move was to promote a successful fan-initiated petition drive on Facebook aimed at persuading the California based Brazen Guitar Company to endorse him with a free guitar emblazoned with Ray's namesake on the headstock.

And now, in 2010, Ray has used this newly acquired fortune to create the long-awaited follow-up to his classic 2004 album the racing brain of Ray Brazen. It's called THE AMAZIN' BRAZEN and it's sure to amaze YOU!
